"Horses are uniquely reliant on their hooves for movement and support, making proper hoof care a fundamental aspect of horse ownership."

Who We Are
The United States Farrier Association was founded with an emphasis on bridging the gap between farrier and horse owner. With options for educational opportunities for both farriers and horse owners, the US Farrier Association exists for the greater good of the hoof, horse, horse owner, and farrier as a non profit organization. As the DIY (do it yourself) movement carries on into hoof care due to rising costs and scarcity of farriers, the US Farrier Association wants to provide inspiration, education, and support for horse owners as well as professional farriers.
What started as a 12-year-old boy’s dream to one day become a farrier led to becoming the youngest graduate of Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School under the tutelage of world-renowned Master Farrier Reggie Kester. Subsequently a career spanning 3 states, multiple AFA and BWFA certifications, farrier competitions, horseshoeing school adjunct teaching, apprenticeships, and thousands of hoofs taken care of. A true master is one that can share skillsets with others and take pride in watching others grow, and from this desire the US Farrier Association was born.
The Board of the US Farrier Association is made up of industry experts with a working knowledge of over 60 years in the industry. We are proud of our board members’ current and previous military service and are proud to be a veteran run organization.
